Getúlio Ramalho

Getúlio is a well known figure in communities around the world dedicated to Brazilian dances. His artistic career began in 2000 at the Cia Dance company in his home town of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He then went on to study the circus arts and in 2001 made his circus debut with a performance of balance and strength on the rolling seesaw.  In 2006, he began to study contemporary dance at the Dance School of Grupo Corpo. In 2010, he was the star of the dance show “An Open Door “, in which he fused the circus arts with contemporary dance and theater. In 2011, he did his first tour through Sweden, the Czech Republic and Holland, teaching classes of Zouk – Samba de Gafieira - Forró. He was then invited in 2012 by the International Cultural Exchange through POA (Partners of the Americas) to do an international tour in the USA teaching classes in Minnesota Colorado - Wyoming, all of which were a great success. 

Getúlio is known for his outgoing and sensual style of dance, always prioritizing the communication between partners over the combination of steps. He is currently teaching and performing dance in Brazil and abroad.
