Mirna Mara
Mirna Mara and her meeting with Forró occurred through the popular movement called "Forró de Rua", in Belo Horizonte. Involved in this cultural manifestation, she began practices delving into the history and movement of Forró. He began his dance practices, in the University style, and then in the Roots style Forró.
Mirna, has a degree in pedagogy, training that guides her classes, researches and collects vinyls, has been a member of several schools and projects, the projects stand out: Coisa Nossa and Baila Roots. Currently, in addition to being a teacher, she is a DJ, and has been traveling propagating the Forró pé-de-serra. She is, along with two DJs, founder of the collective: Minas do Sertão.
The appreciation of northeastern music, femininity, encounter, ancestry and movement combined with technique, inspire and direct their work.
